Stop and clean up
Stop a live run with run:cancel. Remove runs, deployments and tasks with the :delete commands.
1 · Cancel a run gracefully
The run is asked to stop, and it is killed if it does not finish in time. Add --grace <ms> to ask for a longer wind-down.
$ ignitify run:cancel run_Qm3TbX8kLw2Z -yWill ask run run_Qm3TbX8kLw2Z to stop gracefully; it is killed if it does not finish in time.Run cancelled: run_Qm3TbX8kLw2Z (was RUNNING)
2 · Cancel a run now
--force kills the run at once, even on a pinned VM. It cannot be combined with --grace.
$ ignitify run:cancel run_Qm3TbX8kLw2Z --force -yWill cancel run run_Qm3TbX8kLw2Z immediately (force: destroys the VM even if it is pinned).Run cancelled: run_Qm3TbX8kLw2Z (was RUNNING)
3 · Delete a run
run:delete removes the run record. A live run is marked CANCELLED, but its VM is not stopped, so use run:cancel first.
$ ignitify run:delete run_Qm3TbX8kLw2Z -yWill soft-delete run run_Qm3TbX8kLw2Z.run deleted: run_Qm3TbX8kLw2Z
4 · Delete a deployment and its runs
deployment:delete also deletes every run of that deployment, and the last line counts them.
$ ignitify deployment:delete 019fdec3-0d12-7a58-8c47-2e9b6f1a3d70 -yWill soft-delete deployment 019fdec3-0d12-7a58-8c47-2e9b6f1a3d70 and all its runs (cascade).deployment deleted: 019fdec3-0d12-7a58-8c47-2e9b6f1a3d70 (runs: 2, vms: 0, forfeited pins: 0)
5 · Delete a task and everything under it
task:delete lists what will go first, then deletes the task, its deployments and its runs. Your files stay; only the local .ignitify/ link is removed.
$ ignitify task:delete hello -yThe following will be deleted: • task (server, soft-delete): hello • deployments: 1 • runs: 4 • local link (.ignitify/): /home/you/tasks/hello (files kept)task deleted: 019fdec3-0b4e-7c2a-9d16-8f3a5e7b1c04 (deployments: 1, runs: 4, vms: 0, forfeited pins: 0)Removed local link: /home/you/tasks/hello/.ignitify
